EMERALD APPLICATION STEP 2 (REMINDER)
Dear XYZ,
REMINDER: DON’T FORGET TO TAKE THE QUIZ BEFORE THE DEADLINE.
You have until March 17th (included) to take the online quiz that is part of the EMerald application procedure.
Make sure to read the instructions on this email carefully several times:
- There are 33 questions about math (probabilities, statistics etc.), chemistry, physics and geology.
- You have 2h30 (150 min) to take the quiz so make sure that you have a good internet connection and enough time ahead before your log in.
- The clock will start as soon as you click on the link “start quiz”. Do not log out or you will not be able to log back in (to avoid cheating). Do not use google or chat GPT. Take the quiz by yourself.
- You can take a calculator, a periodic table, a piece of paper and a pen.
- The questions will appear one at a time and you need to answer each one before moving on to the next. If you don’t know the answer, you can enter X to move on to the next question. Please note that it will not be possible to review questions that have already been answered. After the 33rd question, you must click on “finish quiz“.
- Results will not be communicated immediately because most questions will be corrected manually.
Passing criteria:
Candidates who didn’t take the quiz, or with a score of 30% or less, or who don’t meet the admission criteria will be rejected and informed by email before the end of the month. The other applications will be shared with the selection committee for reviewing.
The best ranked candidates after the selection process will be invited for an interview at the start of April.
When you are ready to take the quiz (when you have a good Internet connection and at least 2h30 of peace and quiet ahead of you, follow the procedure below):
- Log in to your account at www.emerald.ulg.ac.be/apply
- Once logged in, click on the link below to start your quiz (ps: don’t worry if you read quiz 2020, there was an issue on the website and the date couldn’t be updated).
